Thank you for choosing Florida Aquascaping for your live aquatic plants. We take great care to ensure your plants arrive healthy, vibrant, and ready for your aquarium. Please review our shipping guidelines below.

🌱 Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days. During peak seasons, severe weather, or high-volume periods, processing may take slightly longer. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order has been processed for shipping.

📦 Shipping Methods

We ship using USPS and UPS; if you would like another carrier, please send us an email.

USPS Ground: 3-7 business days

  • Budget-friendly option

  • May take longer to arrive

  • Not recommended for most live plants, especially during extreme cold or heat

USPS Priority: 1-3 business days (Recommended)

  • Live Arrival Guarantee

  • Reduced transit stress on live plants

  • Required for DOA coverage during hot or cold weather

  • Strongly recommended for all live plant orders

UPS 2nd Day Air: 2 business days (Recommended)

  • Live Arrival Guarantee

  • Safest option for live plants

Selecting the proper shipping method helps ensure the safest journey for your plants.

❄️🔥 Weather & Temperature Considerations

Live plants can be sensitive to temperature extremes.

  • During weather above 90°F or below 45°F, we strongly recommend Priority Mail or UPS 2nd Day Air.  We also do Next Day Air (please email us for details).

  • Heat and cold packs are necessary during extreme temperature conditions.

  • Customers are responsible for choosing an appropriate shipping method based on location, climate or other considerations that may affect the timely delivery of the order.

If you choose USPS Ground during unsuitable weather, your order may not qualify for DOA coverage.

🚚 Tracking & Delivery

Once your package is handed to the carrier, tracking info, transit time, and delivery date are controlled by the carrier. Florida Aquascaping is not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays

  • Lost or stolen packages

  • Incorrect addresses entered at checkout

  • Packages left outside for extended periods

  • Failure to retrieve the package promptly

Please still reach out to us if any of the above situations occur and we will be happy to assist you wherever possible.

 We recommend tracking your package closely, especially when expecting live plants, and having your local post office hold your mail for in-person pickup (this helps reduce end-point delays or potential complications).

🌿 Live Arrival Guarantee

We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee as outlined in our Refund Policy.

To qualify, customers must:

  1. Choose Priority Mail or UPS 2nd Day Air, especially during extreme weather; and

  2. Report issues within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the plants in original packaging.

Orders shipped via USPS Ground during unsuitable weather or to incorrect addresses may not qualify for Live Arrival coverage.

🚫 Restricted States

Some aquatic plants cannot be shipped to certain states due to agricultural regulations. If you attempt to order a restricted species to a prohibited state, we may cancel or modify your order. We will always attempt to reach out and confirm with you before a suitable alternative item is shipped, or your item is refunded.

We are not liable for delays caused by legal restrictions.

We currently ship within the United States only.

📝 Customer Responsibilities

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • The shipping address provided is accurate

  • You will retrieve your package promptly upon delivery

  • You understand live plants may experience minor cosmetic stress during transit

  • You are aware of your local state regulations regarding aquatic plants
